What we ask

Observe, don't work. No one asks you to carry or assist.
Respect the set code. Be on time, phones away, nothing posted without the client's OK.
Keep it confidential. Everything you see on set stays on set.

Nahda Day.

One day a month, we take over a studio in Dubai. Live set-ups, real crews, new talent.

Riser applications for each day open 10 days before. Places are limited.

Who it's for.

Maalems

Photographers, stylists, make-up and hair artists, set designers, producers, directors.
Open one day when it suits you, as often or rarely as you like.
Spot the next assistant or collaborator before anyone else.

Risers

18 and over, based in the UAE.
Students, graduates or self-taught. Any school, or none.
A portfolio, even a small one, and a real curiosity for how sets work.

Questions.

Is it a job or an internship?

No. A Set Pass is a seat on set to observe and learn. Nobody works for free.

Does it cost anything?

Never for Risers.

How are Risers chosen?

We match on discipline, portfolio, motivation and availability, then the Maalem confirms.

What if the shoot is confidential?

Everyone signs a short confidentiality note before the day.

Where does it happen?

Real sets across the UAE, and one studio day a month in Dubai.
